THE PROPOSAL
Susanna and Sean had only been dating for a few months when Sean began preparing his proposal. Acting on a gut feeling, he knew he wanted to do something special.
He started taking photos of Susanna, always with her back to the camera, and always in meaningful places. Bruges, Barcelona, Brussels, but also during their adventures: snowy landscapes, mountain peaks, and beaches. In every single photo, Sean was secretively holding up a card with one letter.
One by one, over the years, those letters came together to spell out the question: “Susanna, will you marry me?”
The last photo was taken in South Korea. Only a few weeks after that, they were heading off for a weekend to Switzerland - where he had planned it to happen. Swiss weather is famously unpredictable, so when the sky was a perfect blue on their first evening, Sean decided not to wait any longer. They went for a walk through the cute town of Brienz. Along the lakeside, they found the perfect little bench overlooking the impossibly blue waters of Lake Brienz. Sean handed her a photo album filled with moments from the past few years. She flipped through it slowly, smiling and tearing up as each memory came back to life. When she reached the last page, they looked at each other. She nodded and whispered, “Yes, yes! Yes I do!”
And now, after all of those secretive photos, the proposal and their mini world trip, Susanna and Sean are excited to share the next chapter with all of you.
